I have an excel spreadsheet with functionality on a webpage. How can I add a combo box so that the selection autopopulates the first two columns of the spreadsheet then upon next selection finds the first empty row?

Thank you in advance for any information you might have.

I would have thought that using a combo box in the Excel sheet itself would be a far easier task. Ask in the Excel / Office / VBA forums for more details on how to do this.

Hope this helps,
Dan

This isn't really the forum for me to go into Excel issues, but needless to say... When you have an Excel spreadsheet, and you insert a VBA combo box in it and save... Yes - the combo box DOES get saved with the XLS. Otherwise, when you reload it, it wouldn't be there, would it!

i have tried everything to save it in xls i will try again but im telling you i put the combo box on the spreadsheet then saved as a web page and the combo box is NOT there. its hard to find the appropriate forum because it is not javascript and its not really html or vb sorry man

Aaah - now I see your confusion. I was talking about using Excel itself to create and save the combo box, so that it appeared in the web page. I was not talking about using the web browser to save the page as an HTML page.
