working backward through AD

Hey guys. I'm kinda new to posting, but the advice i've seen to other people has been great.

At my company we've got a backup admin account set aside for some tape backup processes. We recently lost one of our head IT guys so we had to change sa passwords and the like. Just about all the bugs have been worked out (so i thought), but the backup admin account keeps locking every 5 or so seconds after resetting.

I'd prefer not to change this account so it doesn't lock. There's a problem somewhere... Is there a way to see what process or computer on the domain is causing this?

It sounds like the account is still being used as a service account or logged on to another machine.

Try this

If your network is not to big you could use

http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/psloggedon.shtml

to view who is logged onto every machine. I would advise downloading the entire pstools suite since they are useful.
