We have a Novell 3.12 network and are converting all over from a workgroup to 2003 domain. Most of the workstations have no problem. One choked today. Despite that the workstation shows the username.domain the computer is not logging on to the domain. One problem created a .000 user profile and a .001 profile. Could this be the problem? My plan of attack is to log on as admin, delete the new profiles under Documents and settings, then remove the same from the registry, change the computer back to a workgroup, then try the process again. TIA for any suggestions because I'm not sure where to go if that doesn't work.

Sometimes I have that same problem when I'm at my job. users would call saying that all their desktop items are gone, user settings etc etc. Come to find out that they are getting <username>.domain000 and if they log off then back on they get
<username>.domain001

even if i log in with administrator it would give me administrator.domain000

Sorry I dont have a solution for you, but if and when you figure your issue out, please post
