Workgroup Server Domain DNS

Here is the scenario:
My domain has 2 DC's and 2 DNS servers all users are configured to use the DNS and all is fine.

We also have 3 webservers that are in a workgroup environment on a different subnet.

Problem is users can not ping the server name. they can ping the server IP but not the name. for application reasons we need to have them ping the name.

Any ideas?
 
You could add the hosts to your forward lookup zone on your DNS servers. You can also set-up WINS and point the machines to your WINS server. You could also create a new forward lookup zone on your DNS servers to point to them. I think you can also set them up in your HOSTS file (edit with notepad) that should be located on your

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
