Workgroup NTP Server synching with other Workgroup Servers

Guys, just after a bit of clarification if I can.

The company I work for has a workgroup server (W2K) as their NTP server that syncs with an outside time source. I have other workgroup servers (W2K3) that I want to sync time with. Is it as simple as running the net time /setsntp:ntpserver command on the other workgroup servers to get them to sync with the NTP server?

w32time is a service used by domain controllers.

from what i recall for win2k, you cannot make a workgroup member advertise as a time server...

you likely need a 3rd party product..

The W2K server has got a 3rd Party Timesync Utility on it. I just need clarification of the command to set my Workgroup W2K3 servers to point to the W2K server.

ah yes then youve got it right..just the command should do the trick...

or you could manually edit the syncflags to NTP and change the NTPServer values in the reg
