I finally found a usable driver to drive an old analog video capture card I have on my system, but was unable to use, because, XP would let me run the install program to install the drivers. I search for a while and then just gave up. I finally stumbled onto a website where a knowledgable person actually recreated a workable video driver based on an old video driver. He also has an installable application that analizes an installed video driver and creates a information database that automatically detects the existing hardware and installs the correct drivers for your card. The driver that I installed on my system was not signed but works good under XP Pro. Just thought That I'd share this info with others that have an old capture card that works under XP Pro. The website address is There is also small program that is downloadable that installs itself and uses information gathering about the capture card as well. The driver appears to be a unsigned WDM type video driver only. There's no application to open other then perhaps MS Netmeeting or MS Windows Messenger where basic video settings can be adjusted. The installation progrma for the driver will ask you to select the television format for your country. The US uses NTSC-M. Other TV formats are selectable as well. Good Luck. L Pena in West Texas.
