wordperfect 9 on win2k pro

I installed Wordperfect 9 on a win2k pro machine and can only access it as administrator. If I try to open the program as a user I get this error message: "cannot initialize" followed by this one: "wpwin9.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program." Again, I assume this is a permissions issue but have not been able to find the correct settings. Any suggestions?

Did WordPerfect create shortcuts in the programs menu for all users? If not, they did a no-no and wrote to the current user key in the registry, in which case, only persons in the administrators group would be able to run it.

If this is not the case, try adding yourself to the Power Users or Administrators group, (I know, don't run as admin...) This should get you around this issue.

Windows 2000 is not compatable for wordperfect 9. You will need WP10

Thanks, but actually I found out that you can order the newest update cd for wp9 and it works fine on win2k.
