Hi All,

In Wordperfect 5.0, if the document has, let's say, 30 pages and you delete all 30 pages in the document and you then leave 3 or 4 words remaining in the document. Then save the file. My question is why does the file size remain the same as if the document still had 30 pages.

This situation does not happen if you were to create a new document, and then save it with 3 or 4 words in it. The file size is much smaller.

Thank you for your help.

It is because you have wp set to save deletions for and Undo. Go into your Edit, Undo/Redo, Options history to reset your number of redos and to save them with the document or not.

See this thread for other info. faq67-5285

Thank you for your response.

However, the instructions provided in your posting are more relavent to the newer versions of WordPerfect.

I do not think there are any menus in WordPerfect 5.0 where you can go to "Edit, Undo/Redo, Options history to reset your number of redos and to save them with the document or not."

Thanks again.
