Word XP not showing pics or placeholders

Hello,

When I insert a picture in a word document, it doesn't show up at all. I checked the placeholder setting, and it's off. Even the print preview doesn't show the picture, but when I print out the document, it's there! I can select the picture in the document, but it stays hidden.

Any suggestions?

does it matter if its .jpg .bmp .tiff etc.? Try a bit of clip art for example.

It is also a good idea to post what version you are using. And exactly how you put the images in the document.

Did you cut and paste?
Did you Insert > Picture
Did you pull them in with VBA?
Are they images that are properites of an Activex control?

Not trying to be critical, it is just that it makes it easier for us to narrow things down.

Did you try jamesbird's suggestion? Is it still happening? Have you tried updating you printer driver? That can affect the way Word displays on screen as well.
