Word Xp freezes when saving after install of winXP sp1

Hey,
I have recently installed SP1 for WindowsXp on some users machines. Since then The users have been experiencing problem with Word xp,when saving a document it stops responding for about a minute or two, or even worst it creates an error and crashes. Before the installation of winxpsp1 it worked fine. How can I fix the problem without removing SP1
