I have a machine that crashes when saving/working with documents that are saved in MY documents. The my documents folder is mapped to the users share on the server. I have cleaned this machine (viruses) and update all products (WIn2k and office. Things seem to work fine if you save locally. When saving to my documents Word and My documents "stop responding" then the whole machine is frozen, w/ no option but rebbot.

Tia,

Pete

Run the Support8.dot template which should be located in Program Files, Microsoft Office, Macros folder. Run the macros and one of the macros is to force Word 2000 to use UNC addressing. That should resolve the problem.
