word the menu bar is missing

I have office 2000 professiona and for some reason menu bar in Word is missing completely,any ideas?

Do you mean no File, View, Tools, etc. drop menus or no toolbar?

Have you tried right clicking where the menu bar should be, selecting the Customize option, then verifying whether or not the Menu Bar box is checked on the Toolbars tab?

Even if it is, try highlighting it and hitting Reset.
