Is there a way to copy a table from Word (2k) and past it into Excel looking just as it did in Word?

Word tables to Excel

Provided no cells are merged, you shouldn't have a problem. Even then you might not.
Click inside the table.
Choose from the menu, Table-->Select-->Table.
Copy.
Open Excel.
DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING.
Paste. Anne Troy

I tried it step by step... And it worked. The problem was on one machine I had been using Office2K where it worked fine but my laptop is running Office97. Works in 2K not 97. Thanks for the memory jog.
