Word Table Not Responding When Saved

Hi All,

I have a Word table with a 100+ rows. When I put the table together for the first time it took a long time to save. However, now when I try to make updates to the table it just locks up. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?

Save the whole document as RTF. Close it.
Reopen it and save it as a DOC again (please give a different name, just in case).

Hope that helps--depends on version--please, always include version.
