We have a network share that holds meeting minutes. when one user tries to open anyone of just these documents the spacing is all messed up. there are almost 2 spaces in between each letter. when i open a different document it appears fine. when a new document is created it is fine. Another user had the same exact problem with the same files and all i did was restart the computer and the user never had the problem again? I have tried to reinstall office and run the repair tool many times with no changes. We also use roaming profiles in a windows 2000 environment and the problem happens with this user on more the 1 computer, while not happening with other users. is there a regestry edit or a global reset of words settings to fix this problem?
