Hope someone can help me with this one...

windows 2000 pro with office 2000 installed.

when logged on as admin i have no problems so it seems like a permissions prob!!

when logged on as a user and opening ms word you get a visual basic dialogue box pop up with a runtime 52 error (bad name or number).

after clicking the end button which is the only option other than the help button, word behaves ok.

you can close down document 1 while leaving word open and create a new doc no worries. the problem occurs only when word is initailly fired up.

I have tried : removing and reinstalling office, checking permissions on normal.dot, giving user admin rights (problem goes away), giving user power user rights (problem stays), copying admin profile to all user profile and default user profile.

any more suggestions would be very much appreciated.

thanks

kenny

Kenny, try running Word with a number of switches to see whether you can isolate the problem or not. Have a look at this FAQ which will help:
