Word problem with pictures

Hi everyone

The problem that i have is that when i insert a picture in word i can not see it but if i minimize and then maximize the word then i can see it. The same happens if when i scrawl down the word bar.
It is the craziest thing that i have ever seen
Why is this happening does anyone seen a problem similar to this.
Please help

I forgot to say what version of word i use
Word 2002 with service pack 3

Go to Control Panel,Display, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshooting; and turn down the acceleration one notch to see if it makes a difference.

I had exact same problem.

Needed to update video driver.

If you are using a computer with an Intel 845 (or similar)chipset using the integrated GMA900 graphics processor, go to Intel and download the latest driver. What you describe is a known issue with the graphics overlay refresh and has been fixed with the latest driver.
