Word normal.dot keeps on corrupting

Any ideas what can cause normal.dot files to corrupt? Several people in the company have the same problem, and every now and then normal.dot has to be removed to fix it.

Could be a number of reasons. Some ideas.

Is everyone using a centralized normal.dot, or are they are local?

If centralized (ie, shared) is anyone writing macros and.or VBA code to it?

Please also state what version and your OS.
