Hi,
Any time that I move the Left margin, the content of the doc moves with it too. Is there anyway to move the left margin and not make the content move.

Thanks

Since the margin is effectively the starting point of the text or other content, I don't think there is a way to move the margin without moving the content, unless all content is based on tabs or other fixed starting points.

I am a little confused about what you are trying to do. Can you offer a bit more explanation?

Ok, I am trying to import several Word docs into a diff software. Unfortunately the left margins on these docs are set to 1.25" and the content actually begins at 1". The software only imports things upto the left margin, so .25" gets cut off.

I thought to move the left margin to 0.5", but when I do this the content moves also. Hope that helps explain what I am trying to do.

Change your left to zero and when you get message about margin outside, choose ignore. The reason for .25 is most printers don't print to the end of the page. What's the other software?

Policies and Procedures (a Siemens Product). Thanks.
