Word Macro to Convert English to Metric

I'm working on a book and my publisher wants me to show my measurements in both english and metric. The measurements are currently in english. Is anyone aware of a macro that will search the doc, locate the measurement, convert from english to metric, and enter the metric equivalent behind the english measurement?

It could be done fairly easily. What is the syntax of the original english measurement - say, for example, ten meters? 10 m? 10 meters? And is it consistent? Are you using just one or two types of measurement? Temperature ( F to C)? Distance ( yards/inches to meters/ centimeters)?

Or are you using a whole whack of measurements?
