Not sure if this is the right Forum for this question but here goes.

I have created a report in Access that I run using VB6. I connect to Access using ADO, but use DAO from VB to output the report in RTF format (thanks jasek78 and edderic). I have a .dot template file that contains headers and footers and after the RTF file is generated, I copy the headers and footers from the template file into the RTF file and save the RTF file as a word document.

My problem arises if the report contains more than 1 page. When I try to scroll a multi-page doc by dragging the MSWord scroll bar, MSWord freezes completely. Another strange thing is that if I use the mousewheel or page up/down or the arrow keys, I can scroll the doc and no freezing occurs. The freezing only happens if the report contains more than 1 page. Also If I manually copy (ctrl V) the entire contents of the file I created into a new doc file, the new file does not exhibit the same problem. The size of the file is unlikely to be the problem as it occurs with file sizes as small as 120k

Has anyone else had this problem? I would really appreciate any help.

I am using Access 2000, Office 2000, WinXP and VB6.
