WORD error: "Figure Error! No text of specified style in document"

Hi all:

I see this error (or a similar one) on the web in MANY PDF documents (I Googled "Figure error"). My user is complaining of this error in her document. From what I see, it's appearing in PDF files mostly, but the user is complaining it's showing up in her MS Word document. Since this seems like so common a problem, does anyone know the cause? I'm trying to get the document to see, but it may be Office XP and I have Office 2000. I can't find it in MS's KB. Any ideas?
