Hello, all

When filling in date fields in forms in Word, I expect to get the 'invalid date' message if I type in something wrong. However, Word seems to try to evaluate my entry and often gets it wrong. For example, 31/2 (31st February) gets resolved as 1/2/1931.

Also, I'm sure you used to be able to press enter to go from field to field, but now that just gives a new line - only tab jumps to the next field.

Am I missing something here?

All help gratefully received...

No, tab is the field-jumper. As for the date, I've never seen that but never tested it either. Don't know what to say about that, but you could put something below the field like 00/00/0000, so they don't screw it up!!
