Word counter problem

Hello,

This is my first time submitting a question to the forum and I'm hoping someone out there might have some suggestions. I have used the Word Counter Plug-In many times on many different types of PageMaker files with no problem. I just recently received a new file from a client and tried to run a word count but got a message saying "text selection failed". Does anyone know what would cause this?
