I have a doc in Word 2003 with 3 tables that take up the entire page however the document consists of 2 pages, the 2nd being blank. Revealing the formatting shows a paragraph mark at the top of the second page with zero content. I cannot delete the paragraph and cannot delete the empty page.
I know there is a way to do this as I did it once before in the same situation a coule of years ago but cannot find the reference to it on Google.
Holding the delete key at the end of page one is not the answer.
If someone could steer me toward the answer on Google I would be very thankfull (and would bookmark it too)

As far as I know. I have the Styles & Formatting frame open. What should I look for?

if you open the styles and formatting you'll notice a lot of commands have a [enter character} listed after that particular style.

You may have to accomadate for them. Altyter theh enter stroke out of them...

I see what you mean. I have fixed it by adjusting the line heights. It's cheating but I am under the gun for the customer.

Thanks, & HNY

Hi NoCalAdmin,

The normal way to deal with this is to format the paragraph following the table with a 1pt font and has no leading/trailing space.

Cheers

Alternatively one can format (Format > Font) the final paragraph mark as Hidden Text and suppress printing of hidden text.

Enjoy,
Tony

As a combination of macropod and Tony's suggestions, I commonly use a TableEndSpacer Style which has all of those attributes (1 pt font, Hidden). It is also handy for when I want to have separate tables appear to butt up against each other.
