Can I add attachments (a whole bunch of Word docs) to a pdf I create in Quark 6?

Thanks!

Thanks, Marcus. What I mean is, I am preparing a 50 page report in Quark. The final product will be a pdf. The client wants to have many additional Word documents attached to this pdf. Like, you click on a hyperlink and get to one of these attachements...

Is that even possible?

Hi ck718
Maybe you could convert those other documents to PDF and store them on the web, if you do that you can put a link in the quark document to the url for each document.
I would maybe put the link in different color text and put a custom underline, and say (Click here to see Document 1) then when you export the quark file as PDF the link will work on the PDF document.
Hope this helps

Newer versions of Acrobat do allow you to attach files under the appropriately named 'File Attachments' menu option.

It may be best to link rather than attach since it makes the PDF file smaller. Linked DOC files can be stored on a web server and called only if the user requests it.

Linked DOC files may also be more easily updated without having to edit the primary PDF.

Thanks, all. This forum is really wonderful. I am going to take advantage of your brains again soon (I have another question rumbling beneath the surface).
