Word 97 Printing Additional Lines

In Word 97, my document shows fine on the page, but once I go to Print or Print Preview, it effectively doubles all of the carriage returns. The paragraphs are still set at single spacing, when viewing all non-printing characters it does not show anything amiss and I have already deleted and re-created my Normal.DOT. What could be causing this phenomenon?

What occurs in Excel?
This could be a printer driver issue.

Ok. Make sure you've got the right printer driver for your printer and operating system. Try reinstalling the printer. Or you can try the Word troubleshooting first. I can't say which I think it is more likely to be. Anne Troy
