I am building a form in Word 97. I have added a field named "txtSSnum". I have also written a macro called FormatSSNum that is in a module in the same document as the form field. My intention was to set it as the exit macro for the formfield I created above. However, only macros in Normal are appearing in the dropdown list of exit macros. I thought I would be slick and assign the exit macro in code but, alas, I got an error that the item was not part of the collection. If I move the macro to Normal all is well but that isn't what I want since I intend to distribute the document. anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks in advance,

Sam

I appreciate the offer but I work for Illinois Secretary of State and I can't send you the doc without almost literally an act of congress. From my description so you think it should work? If so I will dig some more.

As usual when I really start to get into something, a user or my manager calls with some other thing to work on. It will probably be monday before I get to do anything else with this. thanks for all of your input. I will post more hopefully monday.
Have a rockin weekend!
