I have a problem with labeling captions using different heading styles - it's a bit confusing but I'll do my best to explain.
We have been asked by our customer to go down three levels when labeling captions. My problem is this...a user labels a figure Figure 4.1-1 using style Heading 2. The next figure is a level 3 caption and should be labeled Figure 4.1.1-1. The user goes to the Caption Numbering box and selects style Heading 3. When fields are updated, the Heading 2 figure, Figure 4.1-1, is now changed to a Heading 3 caption label and is assigned the next one in sequence from the previous section, for example Figure 3.4.5-3.
I'm not sure why this is happening and was hoping someone would recognize the problem and be able to offer a solution.
