I have a template that was created with an earlier version of Word (97?) that has a nasty habit of wrapping the second space between sentences to the beginning of the next line. The solution is to remove one of the spaces, which then brings up a grammar error.

Is there something I can do short of rebuilding the template?

Thanks!

Hi,
I don't know if this will help but maybe a Find and Replace will fool Word...

Go to top of document. Hit Ctrl + H and enter a period and two spaces in the Find box. Enter a period and one space in the Replace box and hit Replace All.

Then return to top of document. Hit Ctrl + H and enter a period and one space in the Find box. Enter a period and two spaces in the Replace box and hit Replace All.

Hi Wizdar,

Under Tools > Options > Compatibility tab, there is an option Wrap trailing spaces to next line. It can cause this to happen; if it is checked, uncheck it.

Enjoy,
Tony

Tony,

Thanks!! I knew something like that was hidden in there (seems to me I found it a while ago), but finding it was another matter.
