WORD 2002 (WIN XP)

My Uncle has told me that when he opens a blank doc or an existing doc , the document's cursor is not automatically visible (i.e. at top left-hand corner of doc), but that by clicking on doc frame or within the doc (prior to editing, say) it becomes visible. He would like to know if there is a way of making the cursor automatically visible when a doc is opened ,i.e. without clicking on/within document.

My WORD 2002 (WIN XP) behaves differently,as the cursor IS automatically visible when a doc is opened.

Is there perhaps a setting that controls this behaviour?

Thanks for any help.

Mike

On your display settings change the acceleration down one notch. Cursor will be steady (That would be Display Properties, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot)
