Word 2000 Underscore too close to text in one doc

I have one document that came from outside of my company and the underline is much higher than normally. I've checked the font and line space and everything appears normal. Does anyone know why something like this could be happending.

I figure out the problem. In Options, Capatibility, it was indicated to Suppress Extra Line Spacing like in WordPerfect 5.x.
