One of our users has an issue in Word 2000 on NT 4.0. Everytime she goes into "help" she gets a font that is too small and completely unreadable. The only way to read it is to print it out. When we go in as administrator, however the fonts are normal on the administrator side.

There doesn't seem to be any settings different on the two profiles... or in checking other profiles from other users. So I don't see anything to change that could fix it.

Has anyone run into this before???

thank you for all your time and efforts in the past, this forum has been great.

It appears that the Help feature of Word 2002/XP uses the same settings as Internet Explorer under Tools, Internet Options, General tab, Fonts button. Word 2000 probably is the same. Do a search in Word on "Change the appearance of a Help topic" without the quotes.

Thanks Berton! You put us in the right direction. It turns out that you are right that Internet Explorer is linked to the problem. And although we had checked all these things we missed one place that fixed it.

Going to INTERNET EXPLORER\VIEW\TEXTSIZE\ and changing the size there fixed the issue in help in word. Who would have figured?

thanks again,
