Word 2000 (bold and italics are not working)

I have a computer on Windows NT 4.0 with latest service pack and Word 2000

We are unable to use the bold or italics feature - underline works

If we try to use bold, nothing happens

If we try to use italics, there is a line striked through the text (similar to the "strikethrough" feature)

Would it be a font or printer driver problem?

bold and italics work fine in Wordpad

If you open an existing file that you know contains any bold or italics - do they show?

Hi subric,

Is this for a particular font, or all fonts? Do bold and italic show the same on screen and on paper?

If bold and italic work with the same font in Wordpad but not in Word then both the font and the printer driver are probably working correctly and the problem is with Word. What about other apps such as Excel?
