I have a Novell network which has about 1300 users. I have one user who has a Windows 2000 SP3 machine who has Office 2000 installed. When he tries to open a file via open file icon, then clicks on the drop down menu to chose a drive, the box will disappear and be completly grey. After about 45 seconds, all his network drives will appear. When he finally navigates to the correct folder, it will take about 30 seconds to open the file. When I install Office XP, the speed of operation is worse. He does not have this problem opening a file in the same drive using Word Perfect. He is the only person having this problem. His network drives are mapped properly and his hardware is not an issue for he has a P-IV with 256 MB RAM. This is a workgroup, if that matters. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Cheers
