wmv converting to txt

Help please.
Every time I forward an email with a wmv attachment, using hotmail, it converts to txt.
Is there a way to disable it?
I am using Explorer as my browser.

Has Hotmail some configuration settings you can apply to Attachments?

What happens if you zip the file first and attach the zipped file?
