wmplayer will not start - error message cannot find file Rico.exe

For some unknown reason, whenever I start windows media player it tells me that it cannot find the file "c:\windows\rico.exe" - I have no idea why it might try, i've checked the shortcuts pointing to the right place, i've resinatlled the media player and searched the web for possible solutions.

Here's hoping someone here might have an idea

I remember reading something about rico.exe being a virus of some kind. I would run a virus scan before I do anything else.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
