WMI ADAP was unable to process the performance libraries?

Hello,

My error log contains the following (repeating) entry:
-----------------------------------------------------------
WMI ADAP was unable to process the performance libraries: 0x80041001
-----------------------------------------------------------
My system is not stable and some programs (like Netscape) are crashing. Does anybody know what that means or how I can fix this problem. I checked the Knowledge base but that wasn't very helpful...

Any help is greatly appreciated!
