I'm using Windows XP Professional operating system on a Dell Dimension 8200, Pentium 4. After installing QuickTime (which I've now removed) upon startup I get the following error:

WJView error. Could not execute Main. CAnnot find the file specified.

Everything appears to be working correctly, but I'd like to get rid of the error message at startup. I searched the hard drive and found references to wjview.exe in several of the Windows subdirectories (\I386, \Prefetch, \System 32, and \LastGood\System32).

I can't find any Help references to WJView, so don't know what to do. Any ideas gratefully accepted...

Thanks - I'm not running Virtual or Java intentionally, so I don't know why this error popped up. In the past, when I unchecked a startup option in msconfig, every startup after that I get a message that says to go back and reset the startup to the default. How can I get rid of one of the options without constantly being reminded of it? Is the registry edit the way?

There should be and option on the window for Selective Startup not to remind you about Selective Startup.
