Hi

We have 3 LG/IPECS WIT-400H WiFi handsets.

When I connect them to the network at my desk in the main office, they work fine.

As soon as I hand them back to the staff and they carry them around the building/warehouse, they disconnect and become unusable.

One right now says WLAN DISCONNECT

The other says NO RESPONSE .. RETRY OK

The way I get them reconnected again is delete the 'profile' and re-add it. But they disconnect as soon as they start being walked around.

Any ideas?

I can replicate them dropping off and losing signal by turning off the wireless access point which is actually situated on my desk.

When I turned the wireless AP back on, the phones do not automatically reconnect.

Should this feature not be standard?

I have the same issue with WIT-400HE phones

if i switch the phone off and back on they will reconnect

I've had this problem with these handsets too.

I think the problem is that they connect to 1 WAP and don't connect to the next WAP when they move out of range of the one they were originally connected to.

We've stopped using them

Still stopped selling them, after we got back 50 phones from different installations
with various faults.
Even a couple of tickets didn´t solve all the problems.

if you use default account and change that to your ssid and passwords it will then roam between the AP's
if your workers can roam around after that but keeps dropping can you check that there is wifi in these areas.
only the default account will roam on the ap's dont rename it leave as default.
