Hi Everyone,

I have just started to make my way back to LG primary for the sub 20 market but I am struggling to establish a connection on the following.

I have a WIT-300 handset on a remote site with WEP etc and it finds the base station fine and gets all the info correctly.

I was led to believe that you could connect it to the central site without VPN but mine goes in a loop finding system.

I have setup all the port forwarding as per the port usuage docs and I can connect a Phonetage client no problem.

I was wondering has anyone setup a WIT-300 on a remote site without VPN and if there are any ports that are not documented that need to be opened.

Thanks,

Marshall

The above does not say which LG system you are using..

If you are using an IPECS
WIT-300 via VPN
In the Settings, System menu
Direct Send = YES
Remote Mode = NO
Same Router = NO
System IP = MFIM IP Address (Local LAN IP)

There would be no ports to fwd as the VPN will link LAN to LAN.

WIT300 Direct Send (used for registration)
No : Send register message with multi cast, when the MFIM IP is not defined in “System IP”.
Yes : Send register message only to the MFIM which is defined in “System IP”.

WIT300 Remote mode = YES means WIT is in the remote network
NO means WIT is in the local or local/remote mode

WIT300 Same Router = YES means it is on the same subnet as MFIM and gateway is not needed
NO means it is not on the same subnet as MFIM and the gateway is needed to route IP packets

Regards
Steve
