Does anyone know of a wireless setup that can be used in conjunction with a reception console, or just a 6400 series phone for that matter, or anything? Basically I need to have a receptionist have the ability to answer calls when she's floating (not literally) around the office. Any info would help.

Thanks,

You need a DECT phone/system, very expensive for 1 operator, but will solve your problem.

Try this company: Company is called SONAO and they make wireless phones (analogue) that have a range of about 12 km (no kidding !!).

I did a test some months ago, I just had a basic setup so I didn't reach the 12 km but it still worked when I was about 500 meters from the office (with the antenna on the base station). Cost was about 600 Euro / piece (if I remember well).

AND they work fine with the Definity, they can even transfer a call (easy) and hold a conf call with 3 participants and more....

Have a look,

Erik.

Don't know the size of your building, but,
there are wireless headset's around with a range of 20 meters from the console based on bluetooth,
or 150m DECT based. (GNnetcom for example)
Probably cheaper than a complete DECT system :)
