is there any configuration that allows a user to plug their ip phone in and utilize a wirless network......

StoneColdphoneman - you mean to tell us you don't have any wireless jacks in your facility? We always keep a few spares in the drawer just in case ...! :-}

plug the ip phone into a pc or laptop. i know about the i2050. but we are moving into a new location and i wanted to know if there is a device that can be attatched to the ip phone to allow it to access, and utilize a wireless network.

thanks

There are some WiFi "bridges" in the market which provide WiFi on one side and ethernet on the other. They allow the ethernet packets to backhaul over a WiFi connection. Have not actually tried this but theoretically it should work.

Theroretically. In practice however, you will have no QoS and since WiFi is half duplex and one TX all others RX (like a walkie talkie), you will experience issues when more than one set is trying to have a call.

Wireless Ip phone was designed as a phone not as wireless card for Pc or laptop, so the answer to your questions is NO.

thanks for the feedback everyone.
