I have a Lynksys wireless router and my laptop has a Dell Wireless Lan 1450 Dual BandWLAN card and I have the Lynksys router set up as a preferred connection in my Windows XP wireless connection settings. I am picking up my neighbor's router as a available network. Suddenly the connection switches to my neighbor's wireless router. The PC indicates neighbor's router connection strength is very low. So I am dead in the water until I maually go in and switch back to my connection (signal strength excellent). Does anyone have a clue as to what may be wrong? Also I must mention that I bring the PC to work and there also I have 2 connections, one in my area and another far away from my location. I have "my work" connection also set up as a "preferrd wireless network" and there too it switches to the lower speed connection for no reason.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gerry
