What is the best and most reliable application for a wireless network connection. We have a main building where most of the employees work. About 100 feet away is another building where we would like to have those computers connect to our LAN. It is impossible to install cable to this building. Any suggestions on how to connect to this building. It has a clear line of sight.

Hi!

1. How tight is your budget?
2. How important is the security of the communication between the two sites?
3. How much badwidth do you need for this connection - how many users and what type of data is going to pass through the wireless connection?

Based on the answers you can choose the most suitable solution.

In the US we have a client with two buildings seperated by an Interstate highway...funny, but they wouldn't let us dig under or string CAT5 over this roadway...

You could use LAN bridge equipment (some WAP support bridge mode and these are cheap) and special directional antenna (depending on distance):

There are also specialty products for long range (1-2 miles) connections:

As netometer mentioned, it depends on budget and bandwidth.
