I thought it was Firefox because it whould freeze then shutdown and restart...then I noticed it also did it on IE7 and on my torrent program and now on almost every program I have...

I uninstalled any software I don't commonly use..

I run daily full computer scan for virus and spyware..

The computer was custom built by a friend FYI.

and this didn't begin to happen until recently..

Sounds like possible bad ram. Test your ram one at a time with the link below. One at a time means only one chip in the board for each test. If you get any errors the rams either configured wrong in the bios or its bad. Let us know the results

If it always restarts, do the following to get the BSOD error message. Right click on My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery Settings button & deselect 'Automatically restart'. Now when it happens, you can post back with the error message. While you're at it, tell us what you find in Event Viewer (right click on my computer, manage, event viewer).

Is there a way to pull up the error messages that have been sent to microsoft..or created for the times my computer crashed?
