Winsock LocalIP returns 0.0.0.1

hi!

why im getting LocalIP 0.0.0.1 not my ip instead
10.0.0.20 after changing my hostname

any inputs will appreciate thanks in advance ____________________________________________________

I may be misinterpreting the problem, but I wanted to point out that changing a machine's hostname has no effect on its IP address. You should not expect your machine's address to change simply because you changed the hostname.

yes you're right
that's why im getting hard time solving the problem of mine

iam doing a server/client program then after i run the client program to 1 of the client then change hostname
i cant send nor received data from each machine

it happens twice in a different machine
