Yes, install WINS, it'll make browsing faster. I don't have nt/9x machine but I'm still using WINS.
Can(Cache) We(WINS) Buy(Broadcast) Large(LMHost) -|-
Large(localhost) Hard(Hosts) Disk(DNS)
The NT/9x machine will start from Cache for network resolution and 2k machine start from localhost.
