Hey all,

Have two remote sites and all are Windows 98 Clients.

The log onto a Windows 2K server running AD. This server is located in headquarters...they connect to us via Frame Relay.

The remote clients are assigned static ip's. The computers at headquarters use dhcp.

For some reason every morning the users at the remote sites cannot log on. I have to go into WINS and stop and restart it. After that, they can all magically log on again.

They shut down there p.c.'s every night so when they come back in and power on something is happening. I have the correct configs on all there machines. I am baffled.

Any help help, insight, or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Patrick

Check your event logs and check Wins in services. Make sure the admin password is entered in wins. (I've got a similar problem on sql, user was setting it up as a different logon in the services.) Glen A. Johnson
