Here's a strange one. Win2K domain in mixed mode. 4 DCs, 3 WINS servers, 300 user LAN/WAN. In the past 2 months, we've seen the Global Catalog/PDC Emulator server/DNS/WINS server log drive fill with well over 1 GB of log files in the winnt\system32\wins directory. We get errors in the system log, application log about no drive space and a possibly corrupt database. Verbose logging is *not* turned on on the advanced tab in the properties of the WINS server. If that weren't strange enough, the extra log files are deleted automatically within a few hours. Can anybody give me a clue as to why this happens? I've checked Technet with no real clues except for database corruption, but it doesn't explain why the tremendous amount of logging and then automatic deletion.
